GOD'S PROMISES

HE LOVES YOU

1. God’s love is everlasting – "I have loved you with an everlasting love; therefore I have continued my faithfulness to you." – Jeremiah 31:3

2. Nothing can separate us from His love – "For I am sure that neither death nor life, nor angels nor rulers, nor things present nor things to come, nor powers, nor height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord." – Romans 8:38-39

3. God’s love is demonstrated through Christ’s sacrifice – "But God shows his love for us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us." – Romans 5:8

4. His love is unchanging – "Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever." – Hebrews 13:8

5. God’s love casts out fear – "There is no fear in love, but perfect love casts out fear. For fear has to do with punishment, and whoever fears has not been perfected in love." – 1 John 4:18

6. We are called children of God because of His love – "See what kind of love the Father has given to us, that we should be called children of God; and so we are." – 1 John 3:1

7. His love is great and abundant – "But God, being rich in mercy, because of the great love with which he loved us, even when we were dead in our trespasses, made us alive together with Christ—by grace you have been saved." – Ephesians 2:4-5

8. God’s love endures forever – "Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good; his love endures forever." – Psalm 136:26

9. His love is our refuge and strength – "The Lord your God is in your midst, a mighty one who will save; he will rejoice over you with gladness; he will quiet you by his love; he will exult over you with loud singing." – Zephaniah 3:17

10. God’s love is a foundation for our own love – "We love because he first loved us." – 1 John 4:19

 

HE SAVES YOU

1. Salvation is a gift from God, not by works –
"For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast." – Ephesians 2:8-9

2. Whoever believes in Jesus will have eternal life –
"For God so loved the world that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life." – John 3:16

3. Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved –
"For ‘everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.’" – Romans 10:13

4. Jesus is the only way to salvation –
"Jesus said to him, ‘I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.’" – John 14:6

5. If we confess and believe, we will be saved –
"If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved." – Romans 10:9

6. There is no condemnation for those in Christ –
"There is therefore now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus." – Romans 8:1

7. God is patient, not wanting anyone to perish –
"The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise, as some understand slowness. Instead, he is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance." – 2 Peter 3:9

8. Salvation brings new life –
"Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old has passed away; behold, the new has come." – 2 Corinthians 5:17

9. We are saved through Jesus alone –
"And there is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved." – Acts 4:12

10. Eternal life is promised to those who believe –
"And this is the testimony, that God gave us eternal life, and this life is in his Son. Whoever has the Son has life; whoever does not have the Son of God does not have life." – 1 John 5:11-12

 

HE GIVES YOU PEACE

1. Jesus gives us peace, not as the world gives –
"Peace I leave with you; my peace I give to you. Not as the world gives do I give to you. Let not your hearts be troubled, neither let them be afraid." – John 14:27

2. God's peace surpasses all understanding –
"And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus." – Philippians 4:7

3. God keeps in perfect peace those who trust Him –
"You keep him in perfect peace whose mind is stayed on you, because he trusts in you." – Isaiah 26:3

4. Jesus has overcome the world, so we can have peace –
"I have said these things to you, that in me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation. But take heart; I have overcome the world." – John 16:33

5. God is our source of peace –
"Now may the Lord of peace himself give you peace at all times in every way. The Lord be with you all." – 2 Thessalonians 3:16

6. God blesses His people with peace –
"The Lord gives strength to his people; the Lord blesses his people with peace." – Psalm 29:11

7. We find peace when we pray instead of worrying –
"Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God." – Philippians 4:6

8. Being spiritually minded brings peace –
"For to set the mind on the flesh is death, but to set the mind on the Spirit is life and peace." – Romans 8:6

9. God's peace rules in our hearts –
"And let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, to which indeed you were called in one body. And be thankful." – Colossians 3:15

10. We have peace through our justification by faith –
"Therefore, since we have been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ." – Romans 5:1

 

HE GIVES YOU HOPE

1. Hope does not disappoint because of God's love –
"And hope does not put us to shame, because God's love has been poured into our hearts through the Holy Spirit who has been given to us." – Romans 5:5

2. Those who hope in the Lord will be renewed in strength –
"But they who wait for the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles; they shall run and not be weary; they shall walk and not faint." – Isaiah 40:31

3. Hope is an anchor for the soul –
"We have this as a sure and steadfast anchor of the soul, a hope that enters into the inner place behind the curtain." – Hebrews 6:19

4. God fills us with hope through the Holy Spirit –
"May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that by the power of the Holy Spirit you may abound in hope." – Romans 15:13

5. Our hope is in God, not in the world –
"And now, O Lord, for what do I wait? My hope is in you." – Psalm 39:7

6. We have a living hope through Christ’s resurrection –
"Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! According to his great mercy, he has caused us to be born again to a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead." – 1 Peter 1:3

7. God's Word gives us hope –
"For whatever was written in former days was written for our instruction, that through endurance and the encouragement of the Scriptures we might have hope." – Romans 15:4

8. Christ in us is the hope of glory –
"To them God chose to make known how great among the Gentiles are the riches of the glory of this mystery, which is Christ in you, the hope of glory." – Colossians 1:27

9. We wait for the blessed hope—Jesus' return –
"Waiting for our blessed hope, the appearing of the glory of our great God and Savior Jesus Christ." – Titus 2:13

 

HE GIVES YOU A FUTURE

1. Jesus is preparing a place for us –
"In my Father's house are many rooms. If it were not so, would I have told you that I go to prepare a place for you? And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and will take you to myself, that where I am you may be also." – John 14:2-3

2. Heaven is an eternal home for believers –
"For we know that if the tent that is our earthly home is destroyed, we have a building from God, a house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens." – 2 Corinthians 5:1

3. God will wipe away every tear –
"He will wipe away every tear from their eyes, and death shall be no more, neither shall there be mourning, nor crying, nor pain anymore, for the former things have passed away." – Revelation 21:4

4. Our citizenship is in heaven –
"But our citizenship is in heaven, and from it we await a Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ, who will transform our lowly body to be like his glorious body, by the power that enables him even to subject all things to himself." – Philippians 3:20-21

5. There will be no more darkness or night –
"And night will be no more. They will need no light of lamp or sun, for the Lord God will be their light, and they will reign forever and ever." – Revelation 22:5

6. God gives eternal life in Heaven to those who believe –
"And this is the testimony, that God gave us eternal life, and this life is in his Son. Whoever has the Son has life; whoever does not have the Son of God does not have life." – 1 John 5:11-12

7. We will have new, glorified bodies –
"So is it with the resurrection of the dead. What is sown is perishable; what is raised is imperishable." – 1 Corinthians 15:42

8. Heaven is a place of great joy –
"You make known to me the path of life; in your presence there is fullness of joy; at your right hand are pleasures forevermore." – Psalm 16:11

9. We will be with the Lord forever –
"Then we who are alive, who are left, will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air, and so we will always be with the Lord." – 1 Thessalonians 4:17

10. Heaven is a reward for the faithful –
"Be faithful unto death, and I will give you the crown of life." – Revelation 2:10
